Packard Place’s mission has always been to “Put Charlotte First” and build a community of like-minded individuals who believe in the power of entrepreneurship and innovation to make our community better. Packard Place Fellowships allow new Founders to become part of Charlotte's vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem without having to pay membership fees or rent for a period of time in order to help startup companies succeed and thrive.  We do this because starting a company is hard and we want Founders who have made the decision to take a bold risk feel supported and valued in Charlotte.

Packard Place Startup Fellowships are given to startup founders in order to help them launch their business. This program is about building a strong community, and increasing diversity and representation of commonly underrepresented founders in our space. It's not just about what you will get, it's about what you will add to the community. 

Who should apply?

Accelerate your personal and professional growth through our 6-month-long Fellowship program. Fellows like you can have priority access to all of our services including mentoring, skill development, entrepreneurial events, and a peer community.

Fellowship applications are review be a group of Packard Place Community members are awarded based on the following criteria.

  • Does the Founder believe and support the Packard Place Statement of Beliefs?

  •  Is their intention to build and grow their start up in the Charlotte region?

  •  Does their start up have a clear vision and a chance of success with the ability to create jobs and build Charlotte.

  •  Startup must be less than 6 months old and less than $200k in revenue.

  •  Ideally, the Founder is working on the business full time but we will consider Founders who are keeping their day jobs for bit as long as they are spending 80 hours/month on their start up.

  •  Will the Founder be actively using the Fellowship space and be an active member of the Packard Place Community?

Why Apply?

Fellowship members not only have the benefit of bypassing membership fees for 6 months, they will also have access to:

  • Our robust network of 7,000+ members

  • Free Mentorship with accredited leaders in the Charlotte community

  • Introductory 1:1 meeting with our Founder, Dan Roselli

  • Entrepreneurial Training Workshops

  • Software community connection platforms 

  • Place logo on the “Wall of fame

  • all Packard Place events

  • Opportunity to participate and/or pitch at Venture 135 Conference in the regional startup day of the conference

What we ask for in return.

  • Review statement of beliefs and be willing to advocate those beliefs 

  • Actively engage and promote Packard Place on social media 

  • Actively recruit and encourage new people to apply to the fellowship program 

  • Attend at least two Packard Place events a month 

  • Dedicate at least 80 hours a month to coming into the coworking space. 

  • Post fellowship, stay connected with fellowship network and provide ongoing support to the program as possible
