New Year's Resolutions for Entrepreneurs

With 2019 coming to an end, it’s time to start thinking of your 2020 New Year’s resolutions. Good New Year’s resolutions should go beyond wanting to get back in the gym or quitting a bad habit. They should challenge you to improve both your personal and professional performances in the new year. Here are a few resolutions that would be perfect for entrepreneurs to elevate their business to the next level in 2020:

1. Start strong, finish stronger. Many people start strong, but only a few finish strong. A lot of entrepreneurs experience burnout due to overworking themselves in a short amount of time rather than maintaining a consistent effort throughout the year. Think of ways you can manage your time effectively to avoid burning out at the end of the year.

2. Revisit abandoned projects. Did you start a project in 2019 that you put on pause? Did you think of a great idea and decide not to execute it? Now is a great chance to revisit those ideas and projects, and see if any of them are still relevant. One of them could potentially elevate your business’ performance to the next level.

3. Revamp your company website. How long has it been since you made any changes to your website? Most companies tend to “set it and forget it” rather than evolve and improve it overtime. So if your website is exactly the same as it was at the beginning of the decade, you are way over due for a website update.

4. Improve your physical and mental health. The busier we are, the more we tend to forget about our health. There is no nobility in staying up until 5 AM working or putting your business before your mental health. You need to give your body and mind the best chance you can to support you physically and mentally through your everyday challenges. Once you start taking care of yourself physically and mentally, don’t be surprised when you start achieving success beyond what you thought was possible.
